How Can You Have Heartfelt Trust in the Lord?

As I sit here basking in the beauty of the mountain scenery and breathing in the fresh air, I almost choke on the severity of the task at hand. Stepping out in faith and following God’s lead is terrifying, and exciting, and nauseating…

I don’t know if I’m hearing Him right. I don’t know if I’m following the right path. I don’t know if I’m so caught up in what I want that I’ve lost sight of what He wants…

This hasn’t been an easy task, or quick. I’m talking years in the making. Endless hours of hard work, exhaustion, study, prayer and revision. On repeat. It’s been daunting, to say the least.

God never promised it’d be easy if we followed Him. (Acts 14:22) He only promised He’d stay with us along the journey. (Joshua 1:9)

But then again, God never promised it’d be easy if we followed Him. (Acts 14:22) He only promised He’d stay with us along the journey. (Joshua 1:9) That being said, I have to trust that He’s taken the lead. (Psalm 25:4) If not, if I’ve stepped out in error, then I must trust that He’ll pull me back to His path. (provers 3:6) And there will be a lesson to be learned along the way. (Proverbs 24:16) And hopefully, even though I might be wrong, He takes my heart into account. I am truly trying to please Him. (Psalm 51:10) If I went about it wrong, my intentions were for His glory. I’ve got to have hope that that counts for something… (Jeremiah 17:10)

I will trust in You. (Proverbs 3:5)

Do you trust in Him? Tell me some ways you've learned to trust His guidance in the unknown...
